She had her tonsils and adenoids removed in February 2016. It was the best decision. Mine were horribly scarred by 24 and making/keeping me sick for years and recovery sucked. My 18 year old sister recovered in days to my weeks. Kids bounce back so much faster than adults. My sister was 6 and my brother I think only 2!</p> <p>I don't remember too much other then after having a sip of orange juice and it stung. My mom said my brother recovered quickest. </p> <p>Good luck! It's actually been a few months since she had an infection but her tonsils are still huge. She's been choking on food and having a hard time swallowing. </p> <p>We were referred to an ent for an evaluation and the ped thinks she needs them out.</p> <p>Any positive stories? I'm afraid it will be terribly painful and scary for her 😪 </p>
