Thank you @blushink and @andrea. No, Sam passed at 5 months old. I worry that the next baby will think he's a replacement for his brother.

Well, we had planned on stopping after twins. But then one passed, so we definitely want more. S has been such a great baby that part of me wants 3 living children.

We always wanted 2 kids, but our first baby has been very easy...so we'll see if #2 turns out to be a terror (as most people warn)...and then I'm secretly hoping we'll go for 3.

We always planned on 2 kids but after I had my son and I think about how I felt all the time with my first pregnancy, I can't imagine handling those feelings again while taking care of the first child. I had a perfectly healthy, low-risk pregnancy but the emotional and physical toll it took on me and the increase in responsiblities for taking care of me for my husband was overwhelming for both of us. We've agreed that for now, we do not want another child but are not permanently taking that out of the equation for about 5 years.

Granted Wombat is still really little, but both hubs and I are ready for more. I'll have at least one more biologically and one adopted. If money allows, I'd totally have 5 or 6 kids with the majority adopted (2 bio and 3-4 adopted). Yes, I sound crazy, but I just love the idea of my kids having several siblings and being a mom to all of them. This is totally opposite of what I wanted before Wombat.

Kind of. Before my son was born, I wanted at least 2 kids. Now, I don't know if I could do another newborn phase!

Yes, definitely an interesting topic! We had planned on 2 kids and I think we will probably end up with that. I have a daughter now and would be happy to have either another daughter or a son for #2....so no need to go further to 3 I don't think!

I've always wanted 2 so after 2 we are done. But I know some friends who wanted say 3 but are stopping at 2 and some that wanted 2 and finally decided 1 was enough. On the opposite end, I have a friend who wanted 2 but now they want 3.

I was wondering if having a child changed the number of kids you originally planned on having. And if so, whats the reason behind it. (I think this a pretty interesting topic)
