I have learned alot about communication because having lo forced me to work on it to function with dh. I eat better and exercise. I have learned more about healthy relationships (and how important they are to me) and myself. I even shower more! Life matters more to me now. I matter more to me too so I can be a good parent for lo and I therefore take better care of myself and make better choices.</p> <p>I have also let go of unhealthy relationships. I have different priorities. And now I like to spend as much time as I can with LO &amp; don't really care for the way drinking makes me feel anymore! In general, I aspire to be a good role model to our kids and that has made me a much better person in a lot of ways.</p> <p>But I think before I had kids, I may have been a better person in other ways. I just had more time to be there for my friends and family back then. Now I'm much more at the mercy of naps and toddler sleep, and it shows in the choices I make.</p> <p>Has having kids made you a better person? </p>
