I told them they weren't mine and they were reversed very easily. </p> <p>In the same year I had about $200of fraudulent charges on my iTunes account and it was the biggest pain in the butt to reverse. iTunes doesn't have customer support and kept blaming me for the charges (most were video games and movies in Chinese). After several weeks of back and forth with iTunes and my bank I finally got them reversed. And haven't bought music from iTunes since. Not bad, just annoying. Then someone got into my bank account and withdrew about 5k over 2 months before they finally notified me of "unusual activity". Nordstrom is awesome though. They figured it out, called me, gave me details about the incident and got rid of the charges. All in one call. I didn't even know what had happened but they identified irregular charges to some fake New Age spiritual organization. Yikes! I didn't even notice until she called me and asked why I was buying so many online games. I don't ever play online games so she realized that it was someone who had stolen my card number. I think they also bought an actual video game. The total was like $55 or something and the bank put it back into our account after a very short investigation. </p> <p>@BabyBoecksMom: That's insane! </p> <p>I don't think it was someone stealing his identity but DH found out when we went to apply for a mortgage that he had a bunch of medical bills (around $10,000 worth) that weren't his. The bank told us that if someone doesn't leave a social security number, they sometimes assign it to someone with the same name. They even had a fake ID made with my name and address (their picture). So all of the bills and credit cards came to my address.
