<description>&#60;p&#62;I diagnose kids with this and it really depends on the cause and severity.  Posterior urethral valves?  That's correctable and good that they caught it early.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Espion is our resident urologist and can go into great detail about procedures/outcomes etc.

<description>&#60;p&#62;I have no experience with this diagnosis, but I did have a kidney transplant as a kid. Just know that regardless of what happens, his doctors will take care of him and he will be just fine! &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;I'll bump this for you although I don't know anyone on the boards who has been through this. I'll be crossing my fingers for your son's health and hopefully no need for surgery!!

<description>&#60;p&#62;At 3 weeks old, my son had an enlarged kidney and today at a repeat ultrasound, at 6 weeks old, it is still enlarged. It's called   bilateral hydronephrosis. Have you had a child diagnosed with this and what happened? Did it go away or did it require surgery?&#60;br /&#62;
Please share... I don't know what to think and am worried for him. I'm anxious to hear the final results from the doctor. Hoping to hear frm someone else's experience with this.
