And yeah, his mom pulled him away so fast and corrected him, told him that you can't ask people that. Two minutes later he leans over to another customer, "Hey, are you old?" Apparently he thought that was a more polite way of finding out. My friend realized that the woman looked similar to their regular waitress at her favorite Chinese restaurant, and of course, his favorite thing about it is using chopsticks. I think she did kind of explain/apologize before dragging him away. Oh, and I've also seen the same kid, shortly after having death explained to him before going to a funeral around the age of 3, start to ask random old people if they were going to die soon. I swear she doesn't say inappropriate things to or in front of him! I was definitely the wild untamed kid in my family too. My mom had six kids and she said I was the most difficult, I was definitely an over sharer. Oi. </p> <p>One time I told the librarian that my mother grounded my sister from reading books, and the librarian got very judgmental to my mother's face about how no child should ever be banned from reading! Well, it was because she was spending all her time reading fiction and not doing any homework, chores, etc. So my mom had to take them away. Ellie always wants to hear about the day's Lorelei stories when she gets home because she gets a kick out of how silly she is. Like when she totally ruined (I use the word very lightly) story time at the library.
