One time we were having dinner at a restaurant where the tables feel on top of each other. My daughter was drinking water from a cup when she dropped it and it poured all over the leg of the woman sitting at the table next to us. She was very gracious about it but I was so mortified!

Another time she announced in the crowded but rather quiet cafe that she had "farted" omgg

I love these stories. And I do kinda hope I end up with a little Lorelei. ;)

So far my dd only has a few words, but two of them are clap and quack, both of which sound exactly like "COCK!" when she yells them out in public. Every time.

Omg I'm dying over these stories!

Speaking of age, a few years ago before I had my LO, my friend's 6 year old told me that I was probably 45 and his parents were probably 60. Their concept of age is so funny! (For the record I was probably 27 and looked about 17.)

Love these stories .... not my LO, but when my nephew was 3, I was holding him up to see an exhibit at the aquarium and as he tried to get a better view, he accidentally hooked his shoe into my v-neck t-shirt and bra and as he pushed himself up, my whole boob popped out for everyone at the Nemo exhibit to see. Good times.

Thank you for the thread, I just laughed so hard at my desk.

I have no LO yet, but my neighbor's LO went through a phase where every woman he saw who had a bit of a tummy he said, "is there a baby in your belly?" Apparently since his mom was pregnant he assumed all bellies = pregnant bellies. She said it caused a fair amount of embarrassment!

@Mrs. Twine: Oh no! And yeah, his mom pulled him away so fast and corrected him, told him that you can't ask people that. Two minutes later he leans over to another customer, "Hey, are you old?" Apparently he thought that was a more polite way of finding out. I think at that point she just gave up and took him home.

@mrsjazz: I don't think they really had a chance to respond before my friend apologized and pulled him into the next aisle to tell him he can't ask people that. But in the question I mentioned above, I think the lady told him that yes, she was old! lol. It was like a year ago but I still remember because it was just so bad but hilarious.

@wonderstruck: OH NO! Asking old people if they were going to die?! I think I saw something like that on the reddit thread about creepiest/weirdest things kids have said. It's probably common once they learn about death. I want to know what those people said to him!

@wonderstruck: That is so awful about the poor elderly people. But inappropriately funny, as well. I am scared of flying and once we were on a plane and Ellie said to me, very seriously, "Mom, what would happen if the plane fell right now." I am pretty sure I broke Mr. T's fingers at that point.

@Mrs. Pen: That is Lorelei to a T. She's polite, but there is no filter and she is just crazy-busy.

@yoursilverlining: Hahaha, I am literally cracking up at that one!

@Mrs. Twine Oh my goodness, poor lady at Dairy Queen! Bahaha

My LO can't talk yet, but these are hilarious! Oh, but speaking of the cat on the menu, one time my friend brought her son into our work and he started screaming "CHOPSTICKS!" at an Asian couple I was helping - OMG, mortifying! My friend realized that the woman looked similar to their regular waitress at her favorite Chinese restaurant, and of course, his favorite thing about it is using chopsticks. I think she did kind of explain/apologize before dragging him away. Oh, and I've also seen the same kid, shortly after having death explained to him before going to a funeral around the age of 3, start to ask random old people if they were going to die soon. I swear she doesn't say inappropriate things to or in front of him! He just manages to make everything sound awful!

@Mrs. Twine: hahaha well thank you. I did outgrow my embarrassing ways - but I will say it lasted into probably junior high - my older sis and bro were so embarrassed by me all the time. I was definitely the wild untamed kid in my family too. My mom had six kids and she said I was the most difficult, I was definitely an over sharer. Oi.

One time I told the librarian that my mother grounded my sister from reading books, and the librarian got very judgmental to my mother's face about how no child should ever be banned from reading! Well, it was because she was spending all her time reading fiction and not doing any homework, chores, etc. So my mom had to take them away. My mom was so mortified.

@mrsjazz: She knows how to say nurse, but sometimes she will refer to it as, "Nippling." So she meant she wanted to nurse in the car. But, of course, since there were men around she had to pick a much kinkier sounding way to phrase her request. Sometimes I laugh, other times I do get a little embarassed. I know I've blushed a few times. She makes us laugh a lot because the things she says are just so crazy. Ellie always wants to hear about the day's Lorelei stories when she gets home because she gets a kick out of how silly she is. Like when she totally ruined (I use the word very lightly) story time at the library. She's a handful, that's for sure!
