I'm generally independent and always like to do things myself, but now he keeps reminding me it's ok to ask for help. He's also taken over a lot of chores, including vacuuming and steam mopping so I stay away from too much machinery. He also randomly brings me home things he knows I'll want or would want if he's out and has been really involved so far. He really loves the idea of me being pregnant even though I'm not such a fan.</p> <p>The biggest surprise so far though is he still thinks I'm sexy... He's super excited to be a dad, but he's more more excited for the actual baby than the pregnancy. He goes to most of the Drs appointments with me and stuff, but he's not really into the "baby in my belly" thing I don't think. It seems to weird him out. Like he thinks it's weird to see/feel her kick. I thought he'd be super excited about it, but oh well! My husband has been a saint. He has taken over the cooking duties since the idea of it makes me want to puke. He's also started doing the dishes and laundry. Lately, he's gotten really protective which is sweet. We were out with friends and I ordered a strawberry lemonade which they make at the bar even though it doesn't have alcohol. The bartender delivered it to the table and my husband freaked a little. He was rambling about how it came from the bar and I can't drink it. I never expected him to be bad or uncaring, but I am amazed daily at how he has changed and become a better husband to me and in turn preparing to become a great dad. I spend a lot of time marveling at this change and trying to be supportive so that he knows it is appreciated.</p> <p>Has anyone else's husbands surprised them by how they changed during pregnancy? </p> <p>(My hormones are in full swing today (in a good way), which is probably the reason behind this lovey-dovey post - sorry in advance!) </p>
