At 7 months she just fell off a bed at the hotel. She tricked me by leaning one way towards the middle of the bed (so I wasn't on high alert to catch her), then lunged toward the AC unit on the wall. She slid down between the bed and wall, and was holding on to the comforter, so she hardly had any impact. She did get a little burn on her arm from sliding against the wall, but that was it. Scared me half to death though!!

@mrsjyw: I just got initiated into the club a few minutes ago!

Similar to @rattles:

I left LO on the bed for a nanosecond to grab his bottle.
He fell off the bed head first hitting his head on the nightstand on the way down.
Luckily, he is still wearing his plagiocephaly helmet one more week, so I don't think it really hurt this time....but he cried and I feel awful :(
I am so not ready for the inevitable ER trips.
When I was a kid I was there at least every 3 months...

She feel out of our bed when she was one month old. I still feel bad about it. Thankfully it was onto carpet and she didn't hit her head at all. I'm not even exactly sure what happened, I was so tired and dozed off for literally a second! 5 months later and I still have so much mommy guilt over it!

Yes! I remember the first time he fell out of his swing, it was so scary and I freaked out. Now at 16 months he knows how to climb and get down on pretty much whatever, he still gives me a heart attack.

My 3 month old fell off the bed (he rolled and I didn't know he could do that!) and we went to the Peditrician for an emergency appt and she said he was 100% fine and I was probably the one who needed a prescription! She prescribed a galls of wine to relax me when I got home!! He was totally ok- but I still feel guilty about it

N has zero fear. He has fallen off the couch probably about 3 times now. I don't worry too much anymore because he seems to be fine after. He had a scary head injury when he was smaller (Dh bumped N's head on a semi-sharp edge. N was fine but it scared us pretty good). We joke that my hubby's family is just hard headed.

N (same age as A) fell off the couch a few weeks ago, I knew he was fine because he was crying and crawling towards me at the same time. It was such a sad sight I burst out laughing. He also fell off my nephew's toddler bed in July, I surrounded it with bookshelves and chairs so he can nap but he kicked one of the chairs away from the bed and fell. I was outside and one of the cousins got him. He was fine but I felt so bad for not being there right away, he was in a strange room all alone and I wasn't the first person he saw.

DH was suppose to watch DD while I was getting ready for work in the morning. I was pumping in the bathroom when I heard a THUMP! I dropped the pumps and ran into the room. DH fell asleep and DD rolled off the bed. She was 6 months old. DH tried to convince me she landed on all fours...like a cat.

Couch at ~5 or 6 months. Bed more recently, ~10 months? I caught her head so it wasn't so bad... Picked her up immediately and I don't think she even cried...weird.

We called his ped and the nurse told us that it happens all the time. Like, seriously, it's one of the most common things that happens to babies. We were instructed to bring him in only if he wasn't acting normally, but he was fine. :)

DS slid out of the stroller when he was 3 months old because I forgot to buckle him in. Luckily he landed feet first and just kind of fell over.

When he was 10 months old he was crawling over my legs (I was sitting on the floor) at our Aunt's house, fell forehead first onto the tile and had a nice big goose egg. Luckily she is a firefighter/paramedic and reassured us he was fine.

When he was 12 months old someone didn't close our screen door all the way, he went to bang on the door and did a somersault down the step and onto the concrete patio. Didn't even cry. DH says when I left the room he went running back over to the door to do it again :/

When he was 15 months old he dove head first over the arm of our couch onto the hardwood floor. It was like everything was in slow motion and I couldn't get to him fast enough.

We went camping when he was 16 months old and there was a small rocky hill from where our tent trailer sat to the campsite itself. He fell down that hill on his behind, slid head first on his belly and rolled down it. I hated that hill.
