My DS jumped off a chair and smacked his chin on the edge of a bookshelf at homecare when he was about 2 years old. He ended up having to get 3 stitches at the urgent care. It was by far the most traumatic thing I have ever gone through with him. Fortunately, these little dudes are resilient and they bounce right back (probably takes us mommas much, much longer!). Hoping your son heals quickly, and that you won't have to go through something like this again!

Oh no! How scary...never fun to see your kid like that.

No stitches, but DS once smacked his head on the corner of a coffee table, which left a nice red grape for a few days. I did take him to the ER the next day, because he had woken up in vomit...thought it might have been a concussion. but, after an MRI, it turned out that it was coincidental with a stomach bug.

I hope your little guy gets better, soon!

we were on vacation this past weekend, when G took a pretty good fall into a nightstand, cutting his forehead. we had to take him to the ER because we were fairly certain he was going to need to have it stitched up(it was about an inch wide and pretty deep). thankfully they were able to just glue it. I felt so bad because he is only 13 months old

has your LO needed stitches? how old were they?
