Our home is bilingual English/French, but he goes to a bilingual German/English daycare. The English speaking teacher at his school is Czech and she speaks heavily accented British English. I couldn't put my finger on it at first, but then I realized that he's starting to speak with a Staten Island accent! I guess he picked it up from his pre-K teacher!!</p> <p>I'm not a native New Yorker myself (moved here 14 years ago), so I guess I assumed our kids would also not be natives. But of course, they were born and raised here so I guess they are just picking up the local lingo!</p> <p>Has your LO picked up any accents? </p>
