It has damaged our relationship, but there are some issues that are very specific to our situation and I know it isn't the norm. But I think I understand her more now that I'm pregnant. Even as an adult I've always felt like my mom was almost too invested in me. She worrys about me so much and I used to find it annoying. She lost my brother. Routine pregnancy, delivery was great, and then they realized he needed surgery. Had surgery, made it through, then crashed and passed away. Since she has gone through a tragic loss we both have a deeper connection that really helps me at times. It was the best thing I did for our relationship. We used to fight all the time. </p> <p>but yes I do think we were closer while I was pg. Not so much anymore.
