@rahlyrah: I guarantee my DH doesn't know about part of the cord remaining attached... I can say this because until a couple of months ago, I had no idea either!!

In regards to us getting the house back in February when I was nine months pregnant. Me, in disbelief: "Is this really happening?"
My husband: "No, this has all been a dream. You're not really pregnant."
My instant comeback: "Sweet, where's the alcohol."

The thread about saving the cord nub reminded me of something my husband asked me the other day.

Him: So, how do people end up with an innie or outie belly button? Does it depend on how deep you cut the umbilical cord? Like, if I cut it to far away from the baby will he have an outie?

Me: (Giving him a weird look) Are you serious?

Him: Yeah.

Me: You know he is going to come home with part of his umbilical cord still attached, right?

Him: What?! Not uh!

(I pull up some google images on my phone)

Him: Eww! That's not real. is it? I hope you don't think I'm touching that!

Me: What have I gotten myself into? ::Facepalm::

Please tell me someone else has a SO that has made an equally hilarious/clueless comment about pregnancy or the baby!
