Hugs! I hear you. I'm only 6 weeks along and already hating it too. I didn't realize that it would be like 100x harder when you have a toddler. Already hoping the next 8 months fly by. The one thing I try to hang on to is knowing that most of the crappy stuff will disappear once the new baby gets here.

I hate being pregnant, and my pregnancies have not been particularly difficult. FWIW I am 35, and so far this pregnancy has been easier than the last one. I don't feel bad about disliking being pregnant, because what I want is a baby, not pregnancy. I hated being pregnant last time, but I intentionally did it again. Last time I felt much better during the newborn days than during pregnancy. I got slightly less sleep, but had much more energy. Also, the fact that DH can help makes a huge difference, both physically and mentally.

@travellingbee: just sending hugs your way. I love our son-to-be, and I know this is all worth it, but I have a similarly long list. I got an infection early on that did some damage to my gut which has affected everything, plus all the normal pregnancy stuff. Luckily I'm in my 20s still so I'm assuming my body is handling it better than it would otherwise. But ouch. There has been pain I never imagined. Hang in there!

I totally understand on so many levels!!!
I don't like going through pregnancy because of all the issues & ailments! I get a bloody nose if I blow my nose too hard! I can't stand most smells right now and everything smells like breakfast sausage and it will be the death of me. The smell aversions are horrible and it turns my stomach upside down. Anything I eat turns on me so I'll just stick to oatmeal, bread and apples for awhile. I get these craving that are too strong to handle and I'm sick during the day so can't drink water. And then at night I'm up at all hours because my mouth is so dry that I can't sleep! The bloating and break outs and tummy problems are pure torture! Lol. This is my last one, no more pregnancies after this

@TravellingBee: @Mrs. Lion: I found the newborn days so much easier, too.

I also did not enjoy being pregnant. The first 10 weeks were awesome. No nausea, lots of energy, no unpleasant side effects. Then it hit me. MS, combined with motion sickness. Severe food aversions, mostly unable to eat meat. Sensitivity to smell. Ugh! Then bad reflux from 19 weeks on, bad hips and back from 28 weeks on.

Poor DH: he'd cook and I wouldn't eat, so he said he felt like a failure for not being able to provide for me. If he ate something during the day. I would still smell it later, despite brushing his teeth, and I'd have to ask him to face the other way at night. We went on vacation at 20+ weeks, and I still had the food aversions and nausea. Try finding vegetarian food in Istanbul! But we got through it.

I'm pregnant with number 2 too. It sucked last time (and I felt guilty because of how long it took to conceive) and it sucks this time. This is my last pregnancy big DH ever agrees to a third we will adopt.

This time I have not been vomiting as much, but I've felt sicker over all. Lots of headaches. Less time to rest, super super nauseated all the time. Also, at 12 weeks my hips are already hurting like they did late in my second tri last time.

@travellingbee: with my first I did love a lot of it. First trimester sucked but then it was all oh so amazing and I had time to just enjoy being pregnant. This time... Ugh. As soon as one crappy symptom ends the next starts up- done with that nausea? Cool, here are some crippling headaches for the next month. Ok, hormones are stabilizing so your headaches should get a little better, so let me just put the baby's head directly on your sciatic nerve- go ahead and chase your kid at the playground now! BUT- I remember that newborn days were even harder than pregnancy so I'm not even wishing this away because I know it's going to get worse before it gets better. Sigh.

@lovehoneybee: does the pain kind of shoot through your butt when you stand up? If so, prob sciatic pain. When you stand try scooting all the way forward in your chair, then turn the foot on the painful side in towards the other leg (like pigeon toed) before standing, helps a little (chiropractor showed me that). That and Childs pose, plus the chiropractor, seems to have helped some.

Oh I really don't enjoy being pregnant at all! I finally passed the constant nausea phase, but now I'm in the immediate indigestion so bad that I can't eat more than a few bites of something without feeling like I've had a third helping of Thanksgiving dinner. I'm exhausted all of the time, and have the worst lower back pain (maybe sciatica? I have no idea but I can't move without pain...). I seriously limp the first like 10 steps after I stand up. I'm not that big but I can't sleep comfortably in any position.

I'm excited about this baby, but I'm so ready to not be pregnant...

Pregnancy sucks. I was only 25 the first time and thought I was in pretty decent shape and would handle it well, but I ended up with hypermesis gravidarum where I puked tons/IV fluids throughout the pregnancy, kidney stones from the dehydration, gestational diabetes, heartburn, headaches, constantly being achy and not able to sleep....ughhh I am SO GLAD it's over.

I feel you. Horrible constipation, reflux, bloat, insomnia, constant hunger, relentless fatigue, round ligament pain, backaches and headaches for me, not to mention all the bizarro emotional side effects. I am really happy to be having a baby, but this pregnancy stuff can shove it.

ETA: Maybe I would feel slightly less shitty if people stopped telling me how I should "enjoy" this "wonderful," "magical" time.

So sorry you have to deal with all of that!! The worst thing for me was the acid reflux! I have never had it before but I def did while preggo and it was terrible. I don't know how people can live with it.... the waking up in the middle of the night feeling like you about to heave and having it right there in the back of your throat. Ughhh it was terrible.

Right I know. I'm supposed to love being pregnant especially since it took so long to get here. But I loathe it. And this one is so much worse than my first. So I just needed somewhere to complain. Want to join? Anyone else hate being pregnant? Here's my shit list...
Random headaches
Bloody noses in the morning
Still nauseous every morning and before every meal at 23 weeks.
Constant backpain
Can't bend over already
Feet swollen and sore
Sleeping is uncomfortable and I wake up with numb arms
I am awake at 5 am because I had to pee. Then I was hungry. Now I can't sleep. :(
But I'm tired all the damn time.
Uncomfortable Braxton hicks at the most Inopportune moments.
I get a sore tongue when I'm pregnant and last time it only lasted first trimester. This time it's continued. Awesome.
The freaking acid reflux. I'm medicated but I have a hiatal hernia so everything comes back up at night. Even water. So sometimes I have to sleep sitting up on the couch.

Wow I am a miserable, whiny person right now. How do people love this?!?!?! Just 3 more months of this, haha.
