@babyjmama: I have this one! Can't beat the price:

@mrskc: I used a Tiny Diner Placemat with suction cups for about 6 months until she learned how to rip it off the table :(

We're dealing with the same thing. He cries when I put him in there and will hardly eat anything. When I hold him in my lap, he eats a lot more. Or sometimes we just let him run around and he comes to us when he's ready for another bite. Probably not the best habit to be in. The booster seat is a good idea tho!

@babyjmama: we have the fisher price booster that we use as a highchair currently. Maybe I'll just start putting him at the table and see if that helps.

@autumnlove: do you have anything you put on the table like a place mat?

I moved LO to a booster seat around 17 months when she started to HATE her high chair. I think she wanted to use the table instead of the tray on her highchair.

Jake will constantly say no and throw his food on the floor when he's in his high chair but if he can eat off our plates while he's not in his chair he eats fine. He's messier, and gets up from the table to do stuff when he's not in his high chair, but eats until he's full rather than eating a few bites and getting bored. What would you suggest? Let him deal with it in the high chair and let him work it out, or feed him like a big boy at the table and deal with him not sitting with us/running around but eating more?
