My son had a phase where he didn't like purées but would take thicker food with more texture. We used to mash cooked rice and soft veggies in broth so it became a porridgey texture and he ate that for some odd reason. Think risotto. He also ate food that was seasoned better than bland. He would eat avocado, banana, and sweet potato in bites that we hand fed him. Yo baby yogurt went over okay too because it was sweet and tasty. Usually if we gave him something to feed himself like puffs or mum mums we could spoon some mash into his mouth or hand feed him bites of fruit while he was distracted. Don't worry - my food hating baby who refused to self feed suddenly just got it at 12.5-13 months and eats really well now.

What about small pasta? I found these mini macaronis that are made with butternut squash and carrot.
Peas? They are soft and small enough to not be a choking hazard. I get the birds eye frozen ones that you just steam in the microwave. So easy and nutritious and my son is obsessed.
Cheese cut into tiny cubes
Blueberries cut very small (into quarters)
Chick peas. Canned ones, just rinse well and "squeeze" them out of their skins. Might need to break in half or mush a bit with your fingers
Bananas?
I also made these broccoli/cauliflower/quinoa bites and cut them/smushed them and fed with a fork in small bites.

I'm not sure what BLW foods you've tried, sorry if any of these were already a fail!

Cheese, toast, bananas and avocado were a few of Lo's early favourites, sans teeth.

At 8 months she hates purées, always has just shuts her mouth tight. She will snack on puffs and like snacks but I want to get her the good vitamins. She has no teeth, I've tried BLW but she seems to chock herself on the bigger pieces, whats the next thing to try?
