@VENICE4504 I usually feed LO after nap, so there is at least 1-2hrs inbtw feedings.

@CYNESWITH We figured out last month that LO isn't interested in purees and spoon feeding. I've tried BLW but only takes a bite or two and then rather plays with the food

@MRSBELLS LO loves to eat off our plates. I've been making a lot of soups for that reason ;) But I'm always afraid, LO isn't eating enough!

@CHOPSUEY119 Yes to Yogurt! Mouth shut -- hates the spoon. My LO is high-maintanence!

@ANEWME Totally baby envy when I see their LO is a good eater. Hubs and I are amazed when we witness that!

@MOMMACOMMAPHD Noted on the feeder bags and had introduced to LO in the beginning. LO would rather wear it on LO's head than eat it -- loves to play! I'm going to try again this week! Thx for reminding me. Interested on the anisette toast -- will try that too!

Thanks for everyone tips/ suggestions. I've just need to relax and let LO eat at their pace.

Today, I hand-fed egg yolk with some super soft steamed zucchini and ate the whole thing -- it was long, as I was feeding while LO was watching fav. show. I'll just keep on trying!!

We sort of did a baby led weaning thing- and just gave her pieces of whatever we were eating for her gnaw on.

Other things she enjoyed- any kind of fruit in a feeder bag (like this- (http://www.amazon.com/Munchkin-Pack-Fresh-Feeder-Colors/dp/B000GK5XY2)- particularly cantaloupe.

Also, anisette toast- it's meant for dipping in tea or coffee, so it was hard as a rock and she could suck on it and teeth on it for a long time.

@anewme: I give her Yobaby peach and Yobaby 3 in 1 meals (peach+butternut squash) usually she only takes 5-10 bites of it. So I eat the rest :D haha.

oh. LO eats SO WELL when she's really hungry (I haven't given her milk). If your LO doesn't wanna eat it's because she's not hungry most likely.

@chopsuey119: what baby yogurt do you give your LO? Is it the Yo kind? I haven't tried that yet, I tried giving her the stonyfield's plain kind and tried mixing it with fruit and i think she just hates the sourness.

@EmmeBaby: i haven't had total success with feeding LO either. She has days when she eats everything we put in her mouth and days when she eats 3 bites at every meal and spits out the rest even if they are known foods that she normally loves. It's so frustrating because my sister's baby is such a GOOD eater! It's so fun feeding him because he just opens his mouth wide for you and cant' wait for the next bite.

Someone also told me to try to feed her before you give her a bottle because that might be filling her up and that's why she's not eating.

My LO only eats abour 2-3 ounces MAX too. She'll be 10 months old on the 27th.
Babies get the nutrients they need from breastmilk/formula.. so I wouldn't stress too much about it. You don't wanna force feed your baby..
I would steam some sweet potato, butternut squash, other soft food and let her feed herself. See how she does.
Have you tried baby yogurt?

I know people mix in breastmilk with whatever solid so the taste and smell is somewhat familiar.
I know some babies like eating off their parents plates, I dont know if you have tried that.

I'd try sweet potato or butternut squash, those are flavors babies love and I've had a lot of success with those. My standard dinner for DS when I don't know what to give him is sweet potato or butternut squash with spinach, a protein and pastina. I've luckily got a fantastic eater.

What about some cheese, like a spread on some easy to chew bread?

Does she show interest in grown-up food? It may be worth it to look into the child-led weaning process, at least for ideas. Many kids just aren't interested in the purees.

LO is turning 9 months next week. We intro rice cereal at 4m's, beginners vegs at 6m. For the last 3 months it's been torture & very stressful feeding LO.

Lo doesn't open her mouth and refuses to eat. LO is eBF (5/6x), my skinny mini and very petite.

Morning: 0.5 to 1oz of fruits, mixed with yogurt and force-fed
Lunch: 1oz steam veggies, cut up and hand-fed
Dinner: 1oz Avocado and Tofu, cut up and hand fed

I've tried everything. Jarred, home-made, congee, bland, full flavour. LO is just not interested. We eat the above everyday, just because I've had some success. LO will also have a bite here and there of rice puff or cracker.

Tips, suggestions?
