I did hatha yoga until the week I got my BFP and would have kept it up throughout the first tri if I wasn't out of town for work and then completely, utterly exhausted for a few weeks. I started going again at 11 weeks when I stopped feeling like death warmed over. There are certain moves you shouldn't do once you're actually pregnant, but a good teacher can give you alternate moves to do instead. My midwife practice highly recommends yoga when TTC, pregnant, and postpartum because they find it really benefits both mother and baby -- they say just to make sure to listen to the teacher about no-no moves and to listen to your body and not push yourself past your comfort zone. It was kind of weird that the people in my yoga class knew I was pregnant before most of my friends...but I NEED that stretching in my life! Check with your doctor if you have concerns, though.

Hatha is fine! I was spinning and running when i found out i was pregnant.

It may sound harsh, but if it isn't going to stick because of mild exercise, maybe that's a good thing (coming from someone who mc'd the first time around).

I would think yoga is okay as long as its not bikram/hot (unless you've been doing it for a while and are used to it). I started doing yoga again a couple weeks ago and just got my BFP so I personally think that yoga is a great thing!! (especially since it helps me w stress management). Good luck!

I did sweltering hot yoga until my BFP :)

Hatha would be totally fine, as is all moderate exercise as long as your doctor says it is okay based on your personal medical situation.

It's not the really hot kind, right? I don't see any issue with doing it. You'll make yourself crazy otherwise!

Personally, I wouldn't do the kind in a heated room, because I get overheated really easily (well, and I hated it the one time I tried it!) but if it was something you were somewhat used to that would probably be OK too.

Anyone think that doing Hatha Yoga is a bad idea during the 2ww? I have been doing it on and off for the past 2-3 years, but it has been awhile (several months) since I have last attended a class. I am currently 9dpo....and pretty insanely worried that it won't "implant"... the 2ww craziness has begun.
