Yes, they've gotten less frequent and less intense.

I'm going to knock on wood. But my 4yo doesn't really get sick anymore! He was SO SICK for his first two years and then seemed to have normal illnesses. But really the past year, he barely gets colds. When we are all feeling like crap, he seems fine! He's the only one of us who avoided norovirus 2016, too.

I think so. Hard to tell actually because we got super lucky and she's barely been sick (aside from small colds) for close to a year now.

@Foodnerd81: It sucks to go through it, but I definitely think my toddler's immune system got built up early (although years 0-2 were a nightmare) so hopefully if she goes through it now (and sounds like your baby is too), they won't get crazy sick once they start school.

God no. She hardly ever got sick until this year. Suddenly she is getting sick non stop and every time it turns into an ear infection, which then doesn't fully clear up and she gets another one. And I get sick every time too now despite taking vitamins and echinacea and zinc. It's been awful.

She is not in daycare or preschool but has started doing some more activities with other kids, so I assume is picking up more germs that way. I'm hoping this is building all of our immune systems and we get to your point soon.

We are waiting for an appt with an ENT to discuss probably tubes in her ears and I am so hoping t will help!

It feels that way. My older son (4.5) usually gets strep throat in the spring and we can identify early and get on meds quickly with little uncomfortableness. Otherwise he seems to get the sniffles and that is it. I probably just jinxed myself, didn't I!

As your child has gotten older, have their colds and illnesses gotten shorter? I've found that for both our daughter and us, when we get sick now, we get sick for shorter periods of time (feel terrible for 2 days instead of 7). I thank daycare for all those germs.
