They don't really have a good reason why it happened and said periodic breathing was to blame. I am not sure what I think but I guess I'll just have to take it as it comes. Thank you so much!<br /> BabyBoecksmom The best thing to do is try to nudge them to get them to wake up and breathe but if not then take two fingers under their nipple on the chest and do about 30 really gentle compressions. You want to be around 100 of them a minute. Then tilt the head back a little and open the babies mouth. Cover her nose and mouth and give two gentle breaths into the mouth. You'll see the chest rise and fall when you do this. Just keep that up until help comes or until they start breathing on their own.
