I've read good things about fresh pineapple, plus I love it, so it was no problem to start buying it at the store on a regular basis. I can't say that it really helped or not with TTC in my case, but its worth a try if you like it.

Taking prenatals and drink decaf during the TWW. This cycle we triggered, so I know I ovulated. So I'm eating lots of fresh pineapple. The canning destroys the beneficial enzyme. It's suppose to help with implantation. Tounge is a little tingly from the acid but I figure it can't hurt.

When we were TTC (for 17 cycles) I tried all kinds of things. We cut out coffee for about 7 mos in the middle (because of acidity, not caffeine) but had started drinking that again by the time we got our BFP. We both also cut way back on alcohol. I ate a lot of sprouts and eggs, and we both drank a lot of tea. DH ate lots of pumpkin seeds. We are pretty healthy eaters to start with, and already are big on veggies and fruits.

When we were TTC I took aloe vera juice, magnesium complex, evening primrose oil, super algae, and had 3 chiropractic adjustments, all recommended to me by a family "healer" of sorts. I was skeptical, but after 8 months of trying, I was willing to try and I did a month of that and found out we were expecting 3 days after my 3rd chiropractic adjustment.

I've heard that evening primrose oil is supposed to be good for fertility. Anyone tried it? Should I buy the bottle that's onsale at the pharmacy, or is it a good idea to give it a miss?

Just made the mutual TTC decision tonight (it was a birthday present to me - not my official one, but the important one). Adding in more brussels sprouts, asparagus, spinach, and yogurt for both of us, and bananas and dark chocolate for him (well, dark chocolate for us, because I like chocolate.) I'm a nutritionist, so I'm gonna have fun with our TTC menus (may need to take Acapulco Margarita Grouper off the menu, or at least plan it for a AF night.)

@hellobeeboston: sorry I just saw your questions :( anyways yes my hubby took the herbs and did acupuncture. I actually only did the herbs as the Dr said he didn't think it was necessary for accu. Not sure if your Dr makes the herbs from scratch like ours but just a warning it tastes horrible. I got used to it after awhile but DH practically had to choke it down every time.

Good luck! Fingerscrossed for you! :)

I was taking maca root capsules and red raspberry leaf capsules. I believe they, along with weight gain in my situation, made me ovulate. I was going through fertility treatments and was told there was no way I was going to ever grow an egg on my own without clomid. My doctor never suggested the herbs, but I wanted to at least try figuring they couldn't hurt and viola I grew an egg on my own.

I just started drinking green tea twice a day from CD 1. Does anyone know how much green tea is supposed to help? I definitely need some CM help (sorry...TMI).

This cycle I started drinking green tea and grapefruit juice (I think both are supposed to increase CM). My sister and a friend both drank raspberry leaf tea (by Yogi but I think any would probably work) and think that it help.

I have also heard that yams are supposed to help fertility, but not sure if any of this is true!!

We cut soda and processed food way down, and started eating a high-fat diet based loosely on the Weston A. Price Foundation's fertility diet. It jives pretty well all the things I've been taught from my Asian family. Its a relatively high-fat diet that pushes seafood, grassfed organic meats (beef especially), pasture-raised eggs, whole dairy, and grassfed butter, along with organic fruits and veggies. Oh, and LOTS of probiotic foods - homemade pickles, kimchi, kombucha, and yogurt. For supplementation, we also started on fermented cod liver oil and tablets made of freeze-dried grassfed cow livers, which has more folic acid, vitamin C and iron than most food sources. Must have worked, because we got our BFP on our 2nd cycle! I'm continuing to eat this way and feel amazing so far. 8 weeks and no morning sickness yet!

Not any specific food really but we did try to limit preservatives and junk food. I took a prenatal vitamin but I wanted to try to get a lot of vitamins from foods, well non-fortified foods, so fruits and veggies and grains.

Leelee -- good to know! i just started doing acupuncture - did your husband do acupuncture too? or just the herbs?? I may ask my guy about us doing that too. We've only been actively TTC for about 3 or 4 months - but we're ready!

I didn't know about the POM juice! Maybe i'll start making husband drink that.

I also heard pineapple is supposed to be good for implantation.

My mom wants me to go on some Korean fertility herbs and has already made me this Chicken dish with dates and ginger that is supposed to help me be more fertile. Overall, I'm just trying to cut out processed foods altogether and eat lots of veggies/fruit.

We both took Chinese fertility herbs that were supposed to increase fertility. We took them for about 3 months before our bfp which was exactly how long my accupuncturist said it would take. I also drank green tea Cd1-O and found that it did help with CM. We also tried Pom juice but DH couldn't stand the taste of it haha. Goodluck! :)

I took a supplement that was marketed to women who were TTC. I also worked hard to cut out soda leading up to when we were trying. We ate a pretty healthy diet already though (mostly thanks to my husband who is a pescaterian.)

Last night we were grocery shopping and Hubs picked up pomegranate juice, which he's never had before, because he read that it could increase fertility.

I haven't added anything specifically for fertility, but I have been trying to eat more leafy greens and a bigger variety of fruits and veggies.

Have you added any fertility 'super-foods' to your diet?
