We have some great parenting listservs in my neighborhood so I've already heard great things about our zone school and the elementary school that has a gifted program. Her PreK is through the daycare so she will switch schools. </p> <p>We have a great "A" rated elementary school we are zoned for that has a large amount of community involvement. I have started talk to friends and my SIL about the K teachers and who to request. Also about schedules for pick up/drop off/after school care. They have an open house in the spring. </p> <p>We are also considering a charter school that does project based learning but I only know a few colleagues that send their kids there. We have a lot of options and we aren't choosing our base school so there is a lot to think about. </p> <p>Have you asked for advice on schools in your area? Who do you talk to about it? </p>
