Yes and it sucks!

DH can still sleep through anything. In fact, there was an earthquake not too far long back and he slept right through it. I woke up immediately, ran down the hall to the kids' rooms.. It ended up being a small one and everyone stayed asleep but me :(

I think so. And what makes it worse is that it's become harder for me to fall back asleep, too.

We always used to joke that sleep was my superpower. I could fall asleep anywhere, sleep through anything, and had (have) VERY high sleep needs. Since having DD, I can't fall asleep anymore because I'm constantly fretting about something, and I wake up at the smallest squeak of the monitor. It's like torture.

Yes. I could sleep through anything before. Now I wake very easily, at least when it comes to LO. I have still slept through thunderstorms! ;)

We've both become lighter sleepers, although I wasn't a very heavy sleeper to begin with. DH could sleep through me shaking him and talking at normal volume, and now he wakes very easily.

@.twist.: @ValentineMommy: Haha, funny! Kinda random but there are apps for that (kinda)... you can use a snoring app to measure decibels and record the noises made!

https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/snorelab-snoring-management/id529443604?mt=8&ign-mpt=uo%3D4

Been meaning to try the app out on myself to assess my own snoring!

@.twist.: I'm exactly the same. I swear he's gotta be making it up to make himself look better and make me feel bad that I slept through it lol!

I only wake up to the kids, I can hear our baby cooing in her sleep or our toddler talking in her sleep both without a monitor (they are down the hall) but can sleep through a severe thunderstorm that same night.

@.twist.: hahaha! That's awesome!

Yup! Unless I'm extremely exhausted, then it takes me a bit longer to realize DS is crying. Oops!

Nope, my sleep has gotten WAY heavier....with the exception of E making any sort of noise. A few months ago I almost slept through a hail storm...what woke me up was E waking up and crying out in his sleep. But if he hadn't I don't doubt that I would have slept right on through. Which is awesome, because I used to wake up at pretty much every little sound...

I used to be an extremely heavy sleeper and could sleep through anything. And by anything, I literally mean anything - jackhammers, thunderstorms, you name it! Sleeping was my superpower.

The first year after my son was born though, Bee got morning sickness with our daughter's pregnancy and I became solely responsible for our son. Ever since that day, I've become a very light sleeper! I wake up when I hear the kids talking in their sleep, and even wake up several times a night for no reason at all. Thankfully I can usually back asleep, but not always.

Being a light sleeper is new to me, and I can't say I'm a fan! I hope that once the kids grow up, I'll go back to my hibernating ways? Dunno if that's how it works, but here's hoping!
