The service was wonderful on the Royal Caribbean and we liked NCL except they allow smoking so much more than the RC. If you have anxiety or claustrophobia, I wouldn't recommend it. I was a mess. My claustrophobia was making me crazy thinking that I was stuck on a boat in the middle of nowhere and couldn't get off if I needed to. But the food was great, the entertainment was awesome, the sites were amazing. We went on a seven day carribean cruise through Carnival and it was awful! I got incredibly bored. I was bored of my surroundings even though we left the boat every chance we got and I got bored of the food. By the end of the cruise I was only eating fruit. It's not really a young-person-party type cruise line, but man do they take care of you. The food was great (and we have HIGH standards for food), and the service was amazing.
