Along with internet. We watch maybe an hour of tv a week lately and use the actual Internet (not on my phone) about 15 minutes a month. I think we should get rid of both entirely since we live a minute away from a coffee shop with free wifi anyway and less than a minute away from a red box. I think cable is a thing of the past. The only thing is the sports need to find a different way to make money by streaming. I would pay for online access to certain games. Right now we just go go friends houses and watch them. Some events, like golf, stream in HD.... Have a digital antenna, a Roku and Netflix/Amazon Prime subscription. So far I'm perfectly happy without it. We have Hulu plus and Netflix through the ps3 and over the air to a computer and that is set up as a media server we can watch through the ps3 as well. I wish there were an option similar to Verizon's friends and family or my circle where you can pick 10 numbers and not get charged minutes. I envision it would work something like this: pay a set monthly fee and get to pick 10 channels. There could be an option for 15 or 20 channels too. I grew up watching just the basic channels but always so jealous of my friends who watched cartoons on Nickelodeon. Always thought that cable would be one of those must have things as an adult, but I have been happy without out. We have Netflix and Amazon Prime videos that keep us entertained. I also love watching PBS shows online. We have an hd antenna that gets about 40 channels and we use clear for Internet. Clear is pretty slow so I wouldnt recommend it, but the only other option was Verizon dsl with a $250 activation fee since our phone line is damaged.
