You then can use the sick leave bank if you run out of sick days, something like 10 extra days (not sure how many.) </p> <p>If you have a significant need / unique situation, you can submit an explanation and an additional leave request, and an email goes out to all the sick leave members asking them to donate a day or 2 to that specific individual. This only happens maybe once or twice a year. If more days are contributed than what is needed, the days get returned. </p> <p>I am a member of the sick leave bank. I have been asking around at work to see if anyone knows if we can donate PTO/sick time to the co-worker. I've heard of it being done other places but I don't know any details. </p> <p>Have you done it or does your company do it? What are the limitations? (PTO but not sick time? Does it matter if you make less than the employee you donate to?) </p>
