I've done it like 5 times but only finished once. I actually started AGAIN today. I like it but I just often get derailed. I'm not in great shape so I usually repeat weeks.

@matador84: I have done it twice and liked it. More recently I have just built up my distance (where I place my focus) instead of timed intervals. I start with 1 mile...do that for a week...then add a half mile each week...with 5 minute warm up and cool down on each end!

I did it when I decided to start running for the first time. Three weeks in to the C25K, I decided I wanted to train for a half marathon. Lol. So I did the program until I could run 5k, and then started with a local running group to get me the rest of the way there.

I had never been a runner before I started the program - I'd never even run a full mile without walking before. I don't think I could have done it without it.

@matador84: It was great! I went on to become a runner and did a marathon and 5 halves! I did it with a friend, and it was really motivating.

I have done it a few times. It does work, but depending on your fitness level (mine was.................. low) you may have to do it slower. After the first couple weeks I couldn't move through the runs at the pace they suggested so I would just do the same run until it got easier THEN do the next one.

I first did it maybe five years ago. I've gone back for touch ups along the way. Since I first dos the program I decided that a goal of mine would be to run a 5k every thanksgiving and I've stuck to it! I even worked up to running two half marathons last year! I still don't LOVE running, but the c25k program kick started a good habit for me! And the price is right too. Just be sure to get fitted for good shoes!

I did it the first time I started running and kept going, eventually getting to the 10k mark. I've done modified (slightly harder) versions to jump start my running ever since. Any walk-run program is a good way to start. My best advice: invest in good shoes, and drink lots of water, especially since it's summer.

I did it when I was younger and loved it! I was a total non runner and by the end of it loved it. Since then I've tried a few times but haven't got through it again.

I've done it twice (a long time ago though, I think close to 10 years ago now). I did it on the treadmill first and preferred it that way. Back when I did it, there weren't things like apps and podcasts to help time it so you had to do it on your own and that's why the treadmill was easier. I tried it again outside but had a harder time with it and I don't think I finished (I got within 3 days or something though).

I liked it and thought it was a good program. I'm the type of person who always said "I can't run distances" even though I was an athlete growing up so I felt like it must have been good since it got me running the 5k at the end. I didn't stick with running but that was just my preference.

I'm in the middle of it now, finishing up week 5! I'm going to take a break from the program and try to get my speed up before continuing, the intervals since I'm not at the speed they assume you're at (for the time/distance pairs they use). Lmk if you need a running motivator buddy! I've been doing 2 days on, one day off.

It didn't work great for me, I didn't like having to stop when I felt like keeping going, or keep going if I needed a break. I just ran a little further every time I ran (about 3X/week when I can manage). I started with being able to do about 2K without stopping, and using my Garmin I'd add about 500m to each run, until I could do 5K non stop. Same general idea but I'd do it in my own time. I'm up to 8.5K as my longest run now! I would def suggest getting a GPS watch, its nice to see your progress (and calories burned  )

I've tried before, but I hate interval running so I end up dropping out. However, I do end up "training" for the 5k, just at my own pace! It typically takes as long but I like to start by walking the whole 5 K, then running half a mile of it, then one mile, then 1.5, up until I get to 3 miles. I also tend to fall off the wagon after I get to the 5k point. I've run a few races but can never get motivated to train for longer ones.

I did the treadmill version. I don't think I made it all the way to 5k because of time constraints (I only did it on my lunch break) but my endurance improved a lot. I thought it was a good program.

I've done it several times and I loved it each time! My problem was I wouldn't keep it up once I was finished, so I had to start it over several times! :silly: It's a great program though! Good Luck!
