We have disagreements and discussion s in front of the kids all the time; I think its good for them to see mommy and daddy using the same resolution techniques we are teaching them. I kinda got loose with my emotional control when I got pregnant so when DH did something that hurt my feelings (legitimately so) I yelled quite a bit in the car. DS was VERY upset about it & asked that I not do that again. We generally don't even really discuss things we don't agree on infront of the kiddos bc we've agreed to always have a united front..... Definitely have had those cutting the air moments though. I do remember my parents arguing a bit as a kid but it didn't impact me regularly. I do remember one point when I was 13 that they fought more often than usual and I was really upset about it. My dad noticed and I told him I was scared they would get divorced. He took me VERY seriously and promised me he would NEVER leave my mom. It meant a lot to me. My parents argued in front of us as kids, and it was never scary or sad.
