We have Atari, Dreamcast, xbox, xbox 360 x2, PS, PS2, PS3 x2, PS4, Wii, N64, and a few more... Obviously they're not all played. Our regular consoles are the xbox 360 and PS3/4. </p> <p>As for your question, with our older boys, we definitely limit there time. They see us play for limited amounts of time (while we have them at least ;) ) and it's pretty strictly enforced in our house. I didn't grow up with any consoles, and DH had a few that were available at the time. The games and consoles back then didn't come out at the alarming rate they do now. We feel like it is really important to LOVE video games, but to make time for real life too. Because it's so so so easy these days to be completely consumed by it. It was one of the many hobbies that drew us to each other. :) We probably still play a few hours a day (broken up through out the day)... I use to be really into nintendo games but I have moved on to iphone games. DH still does console / PC games because he likes those betters. Though we have trouble keeping up with all the new games coming out since we became parents.</p> <p>Before LO we had all the consoles and a lot of games and basically play when we got home from work. Since LO we bought no new consoles (we are a gen behind), just this xmas my brother in law got us the xbox one which is the newest thing we have had in a while. :)</p> <p>We aren't that hardcore though. We don't let ourselves get too drawn in for a long time if that makes sense. My personality is such that when I like something, I LOVE it and want it all the time (particular foods, games, whatever), until one day I'm over it and don't care any more. So there have been many, many times when I've found a game and played for WAY too many hours (Neverwinter Nights (miss it still!), Warcraft, and Star Wars The Old Republic have been the worst, but there were so many more over the years), but I always quit on my own, so I never thought of it as an addiction. I definitely got in trouble at times as a teenager.
