I said I was excited about helping her friend but disappointed the other photographer didn't reflect the quality and level of art that she does. I'd say that I was not at all looking for a refund and that I was happy to contribute to the fundraiser, but I wanted her to know that I was really disappointed and wanted to make her aware of the quality her second shooter was producing. But I know that's because I'm super picky with pictures. I don't consider myself super awesome with a camera, but I take decent shots here and there.</p> <p>I guess I expect a lot more when I pay for them though. When the fee is low though, I don't expect too much... Many of them were lovely, but a wide variety of basic shots were missing because, while she stated when we hired her that she does a journalistic style, it turns she is not very good at candids and action shots, and better at portraiture and detail shots. She was also very unprofessional in the delivery of the photos and her communication, talked down to me as if I didn't understand what being a photographer is like (essentially telling me that she just sprays and prays with her photos as an excuse for why so many shots were missing -- as if that's a professional way to shoot), and at one point admitted to me that she doesn't know Photoshop very well and part of the holdup was she needed a friend to teach her how to make some edits. </p> <p>Wow, can you tell I'm still bitter?</p> <p>In the end, we did end up with some lovely shots, but the entire experience basically disgusted me. One. I am really disappointed! None of them are edited and the ones done in the studio upstairs are really dark, and there is a vent behind us! </p> <p>I remember being a little disappointed on the day of the shoot because we had our photos done by the second photographer - not the one I know/loved. </p> <p>I also feel I have no right to complain/contest the photos because we did it as a mini session as part of a fundraiser, so it was only $30 for 20 minutes, a CD of images with full copyrights.</p> <p>Have you ever been disappointed in a session?
