I'm REALLY hoping it will be different with childbirth because I thought it was pretty bad. They were always coming in to check on me through out the night which made it impossible to sleep. I had a rare intestinal disorder that required 3 surgeries when I was 6-7 years old (including a colostomy). Went through sudden kidney failure on christmas day when I was 10, had a kidney transplant from my dad when I was 12 and then had complications resulting from the transplant for several years after. The worst was when I was in college and I was admitted for over a week after traveling outside of the country and contracting Dengue fever. I thought I was dying and signed a DNR. I spent another week at home recovering before return back to school. I spent over a month before my hospital stay getting progressively sicker, not being able to eat anything including water and seeing doctor after doctor until thing finally came to a head with a 104+ fever. </p>
