He was a total nerd. All he talked about was Transformers and he didn't even bring enough cash to pay for dinner (not that he has to, but...). With a little bit of liquid courage, I swung by the tailgate and met him. Exactly 4 years later (to the date) our son was born. I have tried to set up a couple of my single friends, but it NEVER works so I have given up! I was set up my a coworker who met him over New Years. We emailed and talked on the phone for a few weeks first, so it wasn't completely blind. Neither one of them resulted in a relationship. My first blind date was when I was 19...A friend thought I would be a great match with his buddy. We emailed and talked for weeks before going on a date and I totally had a crush on him. We met downtown, had lunch, watched a movie and parted ways. A few days later, my friend called to tell me that the guy thought I was "too fat" and didn't think it would work. OUCH. Blind date #2 was when I was 25...My friend set me up with one of her coworkers. He was very good looking, very well off, very smart, funny, humble, and perfect. We went on a great first date but he didn't think we had enough chemistry. Ah well. Any blind date stories?
