The parents are both teachers and it was during their Spring Break. They acknowledged the "weird" timing of it but it was the only day they could book for the venue last minute, so we understood. </p> <p>DH and I both just worked from home that day and kept the kids home from daycare. Party was til 6:40pm, got home at 7pm. I picked her up after work, took her to the party, drove her the 30 minutes home, finally got her to bed late (8:15) and I was exhausted! I think we may have to decline any after work/school parties in the future.</p> <p>Has your child ever been invited to an evening weekday party before? </p>
