I was walking downtown and someone approached me to ask if I could take money out of the bank machine to "see if it was broken or just a problem their own account". Umm... no. I didn't want to walk home though because we were in a well populated area but their street was more private. I called the non emergency line and the dispatcher knew who I was taking about and said she would send someone over right away. I love living in a small town, they are really great about that stuff! My old college roommate was bad about leaving our house key in our mailbox. The mailbox was on the outside of our house next to my bedroom window, and one night around 2 am I heard someone trying to fish it out! So freaky! And my DH is a cop so of course he thinks everything looks suspicious lol... He's the cranky neighbor who yells at everyone who doesn't live here who fishes in the neighborhood lake. My DH has had to call the cops a few times. The cops don't seem to mind. Then just now I saw that he moved about 5 houses down. It is 90F outside... I just called the non-emergency police line to report him because we have had an attempted break in within our neighborhood in the past few weeks. The operator said they'll send an officer but now I'm worried that the guy will target my house if an officer comes and questions him since he saw me walk out of my house and look at him! Ack!
