I'm not sure if it was his first time doing either, but it was the first time I saw either happen. The roll was me secretly videoing him right before I got him up for the day in his crib, and the crawl was looking like it was about to happen, so I grabbed my phone and got the monster-like crawl! I have about 50 iPhone video clips of him almost getting there then flopping on his back. Then this morning he was playing, and my phone was in the other room, and OF COURSE he flips right over like a pro. Have you ever actually captured a first (rolling, walking, a smile, etc) on camera?
