Yay for emailing your idea. As a product developer I'd say the best way to get your idea heard is through social media. Everywhere I've worked run reports and looks for trends in phone and written complaints. But if someone tweets something it's a hair on fire, fix it now situation.

@mediagirl: @Beehive: I just wanted to say that you ladies must be doing something right! I love that your LOs made those comments.

I haven't contacted them but I would if unnoticed that. Everything we buy *tends* to be pretty neutral or lean boy even (we have one of each.) But that's annoying, so way to go letting them have feedback!

@mediagirl: It's funny, my son just did a similar thing - he got a superhero sticker set as part of a birthday goody bag, and it had all boy superheroes except maybe one. He said "they forgot to put in the girl superheroes".

Not if something was defective but if you think something could be changed or would like to see other options?

My daughter got a Melissa and Doug Riding Club puffy sticker set for her birthday. She opened it and started playing with it and asked, "Where are all the boys?" I started looking through all of the other sticker books they have and they're all pretty gender-specific.

I emailed the company and asked if they have any supplementary boy riding club sticker sets that we could purchase. Spoiler: I don't think they do. I see a pirate set (all boys) but no other horse related sets.
