When my parents come to visit I try to cook at least twice (usually one is a crockpot meal). My mom says she doesn't like certain things, but it's because she's never tried them. My whole family gets together and cooks a big meal several times a year because we really enjoy it. Cooking for DHs family is stressful, mainly because all the things I know how to make well require ingredients I can't find there or need an oven (which they don't have.). In high school I had to cook sometimes. And when I'm at their house or they're here my mom and I cook pretty interchangeably. Whoever is less busy when it is time to get cooking!
