We don't like it too long since he has thick hair, so we use a buzzer and so far it's turned out great everytime. He's been banned from cutting it again. I took Max to a kids' place for a professional cut when he turned one, and it was WAY better (even though he cried the whole time and thrashed around so violently that the stylist cut herself).
