Ended up creating a random account to keep up with FB friends. Then I realized, I could just change my name on FB. Now, that I'm not actively job hunting and realized that my account is pretty much locked down, I don't think I'll ever deactivate or delete. I believe you have to be completely inactive for 6 months / nobody trying to contact you/message you..etc before it actually deletes your account. When you delete it though you arent searchable/seem deleted. There is a place on facebook that allows you to download all of your content and pictures ..its not too complicated.
