We drove from Houston up to Amarillo, then we drove part of Route 66 to LA, then up the PCH to San Francisco, and back east through Nevada, Utah, Colorado, then back down to Texas. We stopped at several National Parks along the way. We had an old VW bus w/no heat, so my parents put a portable (propane!) heater in for me, cuz it was March and we were driving through, like North Dakota and Montana and stuff. They also put a little kid's potty in for me. I barely remember the trip, but the pictures are amazing. I really enjoyed both trips, but wish I had taken more time to explore along the way. I love traveling in the car with DH, and I cannot wait to go on long road trips as a family. We have driven 14 hours to Florida and 8 hours to Canada.
