We lived in a college town before we got our house last year and it was pretty awful at times. </p> <p>However, it wasn't the "college kids" it was adults with children! We had downstairs neighbors that let their kids run wild, like up and down the stairs banging on the rails/hitting them with sticks all day (and they had NO reason to be upstairs). Seriously annoying when you're busy and/or when it bothers your dogs. They were so loud and obnoxious with no parental control. We tried speaking to the parents once, and it was quiet for all of an hour, and then we called the apartment manager. They got a noise notice and tbh, that didn't help a whole lot either. They also used to fight a lot and throw things. The one and only time I ever lived in a downstairs apt. unit. My upstairs neighbor was a musician with a band. Would sleep all day, start jam sessions late at night, and come home and have raucous sex around 5am all the time. I tried knocking, letters, bringing the landlord... douchebag wouldn't even open the door for us to complain in person and would write NASTY letters back to me. So are their kids. I try to be understanding as kids will be kids but its gotten a little out of hand as its actually disrupting our lives and our sleep!</p> <p>I just am really bad about confrontation, even though it'd just be to the apartment manager. </p> <p>Has anyone ever complained about neighbors?
