@autumnlove: no real advice but thinking of your LO and hoping it's nothing. Did she fall recently? My LO fell forward on a chair while we were gone and I was surprised that it was still very raised and bruised when we came home. I feel like bumps/bruises magically healed overnight when they were little and now they stick around longer or actually looks worse after a few days. It took a full week to look better. I would call your ped's office in the morning just to get their thoughts and they may be able to tell you things to look for/keep an eye out for

My dd had a boggy bump on her head at 5 weeks old. It was a rebleed of her cephalohematoma from her vacuum assist birth.

What was it? Lymph node, cyst, bruise, etc?

My LO has a bump on the back of her head that popped up on Friday and it is much bigger now. She doesn't seem to be in pain. :-(
