There was a stomach bug going around his daycare. He seemed fine at bed. I let him sleep in that morning. When I got into his room, I thought that he had pooped by the smell. It was on his crib and him. Apparently my husband heard what he thought was a cough but didn't go check. I woke up to crying awhile later and when I went in, I smelled it. Gah! Sunday, I think. It was awful and I felt sooooooooooo guilty. I did hear him cry for a minute in the middle of the night, but he fell back asleep and so did I. It was EVERYWHERE in the morning. Ugh. I felt so bad for him, he had such bad diaper rash and vomit all caked in his hair. DS was 4 and had knocked his head on the coffee table the day before. I couldn't understand the vomit next to his bed on the floor the next day...thought the cat or dog had gotten into his room and did it. But, then he vomited again on the stairs, and I rushed him to the ER cause I was worried about a concussion from the table. He was fine, his stomach bug just happened to have coincided with smacking his head. It was still really eerie to realize he threw up in his sleep. He put her back down in her crib, she coughed a little and then went quiet. This morning I went in her room and found she had thrown up at some point last night. :( I asked him if it smelled this bad when he went in at 1am and he said it didn't so she must have thrown up after her cough fest. I feel so bad she slept on her own vomit last night!!! Has your lo ever thrown up during the night and you didn't find it until the morning?
