They should honestly tell you if you're a good candidate for it. </p> <p>I got it done in 2009 and it was great. I'd probably do it again in a year or two to change things up. I do get Japanese Magic Straight every few years to lessen hair frizz, so I get sick of having straight hair here and there. I love Magic Straight though because I don't need to do much after air drying it. With the digi-perm I had to put some mousse and scrunch up my hair for the waves to take shape. Everyone's hair takes to it differently. My hair is PIN straight and really fine, so any help I can get is awesome. But people will ask me if I got a digi-perm because that's kind of what it looks like, just loose waves. I use Moroccan Oil too, like @tina does, and it makes it less frizzy. I LOVE that stuff!</p> <p>Anyhow, I love having wavy hair because it always looks done up. I say if you want it, go for it! It was pretty tight in the beginning but it relaxed after a few months and it was PERFECT EVERY DAY. Never had to use a blowdryer... just put a little product through it (I used Moroccan Oil), twisted it into curls and let dry. Plus there are ways to get the curls to relax rather than ways to get the curls to tighten, so I'd lean towards tighter curls than looser. They will loosen on their own over time anyway.
