But it was as tough for her as it was for me as I had been on secondment in a managers position, covering someone's maternity leave, and had come back to work in her team - so you can imagine how much we were at each other's throats. We got on really well, personally, though (we're still friends actually) and when I was offered a new job, we hatched a plan and marched into her managers office, pretending to be having a bit fall-out. I slammed my notice on his desk - you should have seen his face!!! Not only did she micro-manage, but she also undermined me and took credit for work that I did. I stayed for 10 months before I finally got fed up and found a new job. When I went for my exit interview and they asked me why I was leaving, I told them it was all because of her. They told me that I was the 3rd social worker to leave because of her. But then he got fired and ever since I've reported directly to the company CEO. She somehow got promoted from a different department and had no idea about the important detailsmof doing our job but she stood there and tried to dictate every move even if it meant making more work or doing it incorrectly.
