I've had a (presumably very large) package from Amazon go missing recently. It was also very odd - I needed it in a hurry so I was keeping an eye on the tracking info, and I could have sworn that it was labeled as "out for delivery" the day it was due, but that night there was no package and the "out for delivery" had vanished from the tracking page. When I contacted them they said it was "guaranteed" to show up the next day. Not sure if that meant that they found it or that they were overnighting a replacement, but in any case it never showed up. I got a refund pretty fast though. Package was listed as "delivered" but nowhere to be found, so I lodged a complaint. Christmas day, hubby was cleaning the decking in the back yard and found my package behind the outdoor table.... the driver had thrown it over our gate and onto the deck, I assume to put it in a "safe" spot. SO annoying! It was something I needed for our vacation and there was still no sign of the package when we returned. I once ordered a vacuum part that was delivered to the wrong province and it was the biggest pain in the ass. The company initially refused to send a replacement and accused me of stealing it and then trying to get a refund. Then they offered to split the difference and have me pay then 50% in order to ship out a new part. Finally I had to threaten a credit card charge back before they sent a new part. We're prime members, and there were a few times we didn't get the boxes within two days, and when I let them know, they gave me an amazon credit. They're always so helpful. Multiple packages before Christmas last year were 'delivered' to my office but I never received them. Turns out the delivery driver had scanned them as delivered, which I saw online, but couldn't find our office for some reason and stockpiled them at the post office or something until a week later when they all got dropped at once (along with packages for a coworker too) Your delivery guy might have done something similar and didn't see a safe place to put it so it got placed back on the truck? I had a package at our old building go MIA. It was kraft paper, so it was a long, oddly shaped box. I can't imagine who would take it! I called amazon and told them it was gone, and they sent me a replacement for free! I was shocked. That was so nice of them. I contacted the carrier & the online store both & suggested I would be contacting my cc company too to get refunded when the previously-reported-as-delivered pkg showed up on our doorstep 4 days after tracking said it'd been delivered. Still have no idea what actually happened in between, but was happy to have gotten this book just in time to gift. According to ups, they delivered it to post office and according to post office, they delivered it to me. But I didn't get anything 😢 I called zullily and they sent the same item again. I heard the UPS driver knock on Weds and saw the truck drive away while I was folding laundry so I checked the door probably 10 minutes later and nothing! I guess it could have been stolen but I was next to the window folding and didn't see anything. Tracking said it was delivered. Have you ever had a package go missing? My UPS guy always "hides" my packages so I'm wondering if I just can't find it?! He's even put them in my backyard before. I'm wondering if Amazon/UPS will do anything about it but I'm doubtful. And bummed since I don't want to replace a splurge!
