My arm was going numb and I was getting tingly sensations (the pinched nerve was in my neck). I went to the chiropractor and honestly, felt better than ever after being adjusted a few times. I haven't had it in a long time (over a year, *knock on wood*), but when I used to get them in that area between my neck and shoulder, I literally would not be able to turn my head. It's a sharp pain when I move a certain way. A chiropractor can usually take care of most of them. I typically have an electric-type pain in the left side of my back that shoots downward. My chiro says it is the nerve that runs through my uterus so there may be a correlation with that. (The day I'm pretty sure the egg implanted I was having crazy crazy pain.)</p> <p>I've also had a much worse case of a pinched nerve that ran down my right side. It originated in my back and shot down the leg and into the last two toes. Chiro and PT didn't help so I was given pain killers until it "worked itself out," which took close to a year.</p> <p>If you suspect a pinched nerve I'd start at the chiropractor and they might refer you to a neurologist if the problem persists.
