It took me a few times to develop a taste for them since I don't like grapefuit, but it is significantly sweeter. I was introduced to them while visiting a kibbutz in Israel that farmed pomelos, and we ate a ton on that trip. The membrane is so thick, you actually peel it off and only eat the inside of each slice. It takes more effort than an orange or grapefruit, but worth it! I have to say, the ones I've had in the states don't compare but that could also be because I'm not on vacation.
