My 2 big toenails are shaped slightly differently now, so I paint them a certain way to make it look like they match b/c one is wider...weird, right? It turned into a total pain because part of the original nail was still stuck in the flesh (sorry TMI) and it got really gross and ulcerous. I ended up needing minor surgery to get all the old nail out. It didn't hurt (after the bruising went away) just felt really weird. It happened at our wedding somehow, maybe the shoes were pinching me or someone stepped on my toes, I don't know. Almost the whole thing was black with blood. It was so tender for a couple of weeks but it stopped and I don't feel it anymore. Luckily it never fell off but it's been 6 months and it's still growing out! I just keep it covered with polish. I had to wear a bandaid on it for two months so it wouldn't snag on anything and rip off. I just took off my pedicure nail polish which was a dark red, and I have a HUGE black bruise or something under the nail on my left big toe. I am terrified it will fall off! It feels funny, like I cut it too short.. Very sensitive. Ahhhhhh! </p> <p>TMI right?? And it's definitely not a stain from the polish either! </p>
