Once was in college and it was so bad I could not even get out of bed. I was able to reach my phone and call my dad, who convinced me to call 911. The paramedics came into my dorm room and strapped me to a stretcher. I threw up 3 times when they were trying to get the IV into me. It was awful!!</p> <p>I hope you recover soon!! It took me over a year to eat there again. I ate it for lunch at my desk because I was supposed to leave early to go visit my best friend, my DH was out of town visiting a friend. I left work early, with a bad feeling. </p> <p>I spent the next 24 hours in the bathroom and my mom came and picked me up because she was so worried and didn't want me to be alone. The ER said I had to come in if it didn't get better in 24 hours, luckily it just stopped and I felt fine after that. Weak but fine. One of my pet peeves is when people say "oh I think I might have had a little bit of food poisoning" because when you have it there is ZERO DOUBT about what's happening. It really is the worst. I hope you feel better soon. I had eaten at a pretty reputable place but ended up so.sick in my hotel room. The only thing that made me feel even slightly better was ibuprofen, which I had to practically crawl downstairs for. I was feverish and throwing up for 3 days. Get well soon!!</p> <p>I had it on our honeymoon. I'm pretty sure it was from sushi. I woke up at 3am with a fever and had sensory issues! Everything sounded loud (there were birds outside that were so noisy), DH had smoked a cigar and it smelled worse than usual, I turned on the bathroom lights which were painful to look at. Ugh. Then I vomitted (and had, ahem, other problems) for 5 days! Without careful analysis, it's actually hard to pinpoint which food is responsible, though. After I ate one today, I got food poisoning, spent a lot of time in the bathroom, and curled up in a freezing ball with a fever and fell asleep for a couple of hours. I woke up because the fever broke and I was sweating. This is the second time I got food poisoning in my life! Luckily both times I recovered pretty quickly, but wow it just hits you like a ton of bricks! (I was scheduling the last post of the day when it hit me and couldn't get it up sorry!)</p> <p>The first time I got sick was from a deli sandwich so I never bought one again.
