@mediagirl: i'd go in again on the bite feeling funny - that happened to me once and it led to massive headaches after i ate something where i was chewing a lot. the dentist should have something that looks like a flimsy piece of black tape that you bite and grind down on after they are done with the filling. that should show your dentist where the bottom and top teeth hit together and he'll grind down the filling with his drill or whatever it is. ask him to do it again.

I've had sensitivity after a filling for almost two months. About the time I was going to call and go in it went away. DH had sensitivity with his filling as well and the dentist recommended using sensodyne toothpaste until it went away. I think his lasted for a month.

The sensitivity can actually last 1 to 2 months if the filling is fine. If it doesn't feel like your teeth are hitting together that is a red flag to me. I'd have it adjusted again until your bite feels right. Then if the sensitivity lasts after that I would think there may be another issue. Was it deep, did the dentist mention anything about a root canal in the future?

I had that feeling when I had fillings done. My dentist says the cold sensitivity can last up to 3 weeks so don't fret about that too much.

I had a filling a few weeks ago on my second molar. I have been having sensitivity so I went in to have it fixed Thursday. It's still not right. I'm so annoyed because I can't figure out where it's hitting my top molar. It's still cold sensitive and doesn't sit right when I rest my teeth. So frustrating!

Have you ever run into this? How did you end up resolving it?
